Training
Mandatory Training requirements of all the staff in:
- Manual Handling
Initially and every 6 months after
- Basic Life Support
Initially and every 6 months after
- Senior First Aid
Must have current certificate and renewed every 3 years
- Infection Control
Initially and every 12 months after
To assist us to provide a higher standard of nurse to our clients, the Professional Nursing Agency has developed a Risk Management Policy and as a part of this strategy has major commitment to the training and development of its staff.
Additional training can be arranged through contact with our Training Co-Ordinator, Roxanne Coghlan during Office Hours on 0424 138642 or 02 62416292 on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Training Manager is a highly skilled Registered Nurse with current clinical experience who can assist or coordinate a variety of training with some of the major Hospitals or Nursing Homes as may be required, in fields such as:
- Epidural Workshops
- Patient Control Analgesic Workshops
- Drug Calculation Workshops for Registered and Endorsed Nurses
- Certificate III in Age Care
- Provide Assistance with Medication for Personal Carers
- Challenging and Difficult Behaviours
All staff undertake a Workplace Assessment by members of our Training Team to provide the agency with a broad outline of our staff€™s strengths and weaknesses. This is then used to develop various training packages to enhance the Personal Development of the various staff and better meet the client€™s needs on a more professional level. The Workplace Assessments are conducted initially (within the first 4 weeks of commencement) and then every 6 €“ 12 months.
