Our agency offers employment to Registered Nurses Level 1 and 2, Endorsed Enrolled Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Personal Carers/Assistant Nurses and Trainee Personal Carers. All of our staff have flexible working arrangements and they have the choice through the use of Monthly Availability forms to choose when and where they would like to work. All staff get paid according to or above the current Wage Arrangements for each particular level of nurse within the Australian Capital Territory. All staff must wear a distinctive uniform and are covered by the Agency for Workers Compensation, Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurances.
Due to the demand on our services at all levels, some of our major clients are requesting staff up to a month in advance to assist in properly staffing their shortfalls. This greatly assists ourstaff to forward plan their private lives around their commitments to work.
All staff are employed on a Casual basis, however opportunities are available with some of the Agency’s clients for 3 or 6 month contracts working 20 – 40 hours per week depending on desire of the staff member. This arrangement is particularly available to Registered and Endorsed Enrolled Nurses.
All New Staff must arrange with our office (by telephone on 02 62416292 between 9am and 5pm) to arrange an Interview time and date. Firstly it is required that you complete our Application Form prior to your interview, and bring to your interview your Tax File Number, Bank details including BSB, a copy of your current Resume, a copy of your current ACT Nurses Registration or Certificate III in Age Care, a copy of a current ACT Police Clearance (can be done at interview), photo identification (preferably current Driver’s License), a copy of current Senior First Aid Certificate, the names of three Referees and their contact details (not to be family member and preferably to be people who have worked with applicant).
At interview, ALL staff are given a copy of the Agency’s Procedures Manual as part of our Risk Management strategies and are given a brief outline of their requirements and duties as may be required fitting the level of nurse under different circumstances. The applicant will be required to complete a Lifting Disclaimer Form to ensure they understand and are committed to the NO LIFT Policy for the agency and the ACT Government when working in any of our client’s facilities or hospitals.
